Exchange club is an all volunteer, national service organization for men and women who want to serve their community develop leadership skills and enjoy friendships. Exchange is made up of nearly 1,000 clubs and 30,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Exchange is known to millions as America's Service Club, and with good reason. From our organization earliest days Exchange Clubs have been unselfishly serving their communities and improving the quality of life. The diverse array of Exchange-sponsored programs and projects has made a considerable impact on America thus enhancing the lives of countless men, women and children across the nation.

 

SPECIAL NEWS: Our 12th Annual Adopt-A-Teacher a Great Success!

On October 16, 2008, at the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board meeting, $11,500 was awarded to 29 new elementary school teachers representing 19 different schools.  Since the inception of Adopt-A-Teacher in 1997, over $100,000 has been awarded to new teachers to help them purchase start-up materials for their classrooms.  This year's teachers and their schools were:  Marissa D’Albor (Audubon), Elsa VanHove and Tyquencia Vessel (Brookstown), Angela Bowlin (Buchanan), Kashanna Bridges (Capitol), Juliette Wells and Megan Almand (Cedarcrest-Southmoor), Andree Williams (Dalton), Chrystal Williams and Dulicisma De Guzman(Delmont), Anderson Briggs (Glen Oaks), Sabrina Dixon, Emily Johnson, Kendra Justice, and Mary Lemoine (Highland), Dennis Parker (LaBelle Aire), Renee Williams (LaSalle), Branden Pellissier and Jessica Cook (Magnolia Woods), Julie David (Melrose), Karin Rittvo (Merrydale), Sara Covino, Chandle Carpenter and Gabriel Surface (Scotlandville), Ellen Johnson and Nicholas Phelps (Shenandoah), Ginger Deroche (Southdowns), Jennifer Taulli-Link (Westdale) and Kaleisha London (Winborne).

Dixon and Covino were adopted by the East Baton Rouge Lions Club; Wells and VanHove by the Baton Rouge Area Society of Psychologists.
